This … Read more The Whiskey Creek Pottery is in Alberta, Canada, near the Rocky Mountains and is run by artist Joan Matsusaki. This piece was signed on the bottom "Whiskey Creek, S. Kammerer, '85. Artists sometimes share such facilities with other artists and there is a antist by the name of Susan Kammerer who lived in Georgia until she moved to Italy in 1977. Perhaps she visited Canada and made a few pieces there. I got this at an auction in Hastings, Nebraska, which is near Grand Island, Nebraska, where there are and have been for many years, a number of people with that last name. Perhaps one of them was an artist and visited that pottery and made this. I guess we will never know, but I see on the internet that she signed a number of other nice pottery pieces. And he/she made a pretty nice piece in this one too, whoever he/she is/was. See less
