This antique (late 1800’s) Japanese Tansu Chest features 1 full-sized top drawer, 1 full-sized bottom drawer, 2 medium-sized middle drawers, … Read more This antique (late 1800’s) Japanese Tansu Chest features 1 full-sized top drawer, 1 full-sized bottom drawer, 2 medium-sized middle drawers, 1 small exterior and 2 "hidden" drawers behind the exterior cabinet door. Overall, this piece is in good condition, however it does show its age with some minor marks, losses, and indentations. In addition, the lower drawer brass "locking plate" was missing when we acquired the piece. It has been replaces with a close, but not exactly matching, antique plate sourced from Japan. (see detailed photos). This would be a nice addition to any Japanese themed collection or to an eclectic grouping in an drawing room, study or office. See less
