Large print with two image on one sheet. The upper image is titled 'Hudibras's first adventure'. Hudibras and Ralpho encounter a mob armed with sticks; in the foreground to right, a one-legged fiddler, a butcher and a dancing bear with his leader. The lower image is titled 'Hudibras, Catechiz'd'. Hudibras is being beaten by masked men dressed as devils; the scene is the bedroom of the widow who stands in the doorway; to left, Ralpho hides behind a curtain. Engraved by T. Cook after W. Hogarth. Hudibras is an English mock heroic narrative poem from the 17th century written by Samuel Butler. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
