A Modern Japan with battleships and powerlines over the harbour. Thin coppery brass body with an etched scene of a harbour with modern ships in a modern city, Cables lines hang in the air. The early 20th century in Japan. A classic vase with squared shoulders. Matt black enamel and darkened coppery brass vessel. The measurements are 6.25" and the diameter is 2.75" at the shoulder. The design is a very odd Japanese early period art of Japan's rise as a military force in Asia. Circa 1904-05.
