What a sweet find. And so far as we can research this is a one of a kind wall hung multi brass hook hanger. When not in use you can easily take it off, through the two large hooks, and fold it up and away.
It's old, possibly dipping into the 1800s; and most likely designed for light weight objects to be hung off of the 16 brass hooks; maybe it was intended for keys in a hotel? Or Aprons in a kitchen? We definitely don't think it was intended to hang heavy coats off of each hook.
The hinges seem to be wrought iron and the craftsmanship is of quality and leaning on the primitive side though not fully.
We will let the images speak on its behalf, but these are the kind of pieces that will set your decor apart. A unique piece that someone built long ago and have withstood the test of time.
