Bartoli Design, a team comprising Anna and Paolo Bartoli, continues the experience in design developed with Carlo Bartoli (1931-2020) through many partnerships with leading companies in the furniture sector along many years.
Carlo Bartoli exhibited his work in Italy and abroad: at the Triennale Design Museum in Milano, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Stadt Museum in Cologne, as well as in New York, Prague, Hong Kong, Athens and Buenos Aires. The Gaia armchair is included in the design collection at the MoMA in New York and the Triennale Design Museum in Milano. The 4875 chair is on display in the design collection at the National Arts Museum of the Pompidou Centre in Paris.
Bartoli Design received the XXI Compasso d’Oro ADI award for the R606Uno chair in 2008 and, in 2016, Carlo Bartoli also received the XXIV Compasso d’Oro ADI Career Award. (Excepts from Bartoli Design's website.)
Bartoli Design
Screen, 2015
Model ST 47
Made by Laurameroni
Two-panel screen, One panel is completely clad with metal, One panel is wood with metal edges. Finish: Protective surface treatment for cleaning, burnished copper
Dimensions: W. 29 x D. 19 x H. 67 in.
Provenance: Purchased from Laurameroni, Italy
Condition: Wear is consistent with use. See the last two photographs for close up sample images of minor scratches. The overall presentation is strong.
Note. The two sides of the screen seamlessly interlock with a precise metal sliding system. It is necessary to have two people to slide them together and apart. While the screens have small feet at the bottom, their fixed structure and weight make them a bit difficult to move in a space. However, one person can move it on a hardwood floor. Still, moving it in this way may make the interlocking system vulnerable to stress.
