Pair of bronze Marbro lamps in the form of censers with dragons on the handles. With original makers tag.
The Marbro Lamp Company was established by Morris Markoff and his brother after World War II. Their first shop opened soon after the end of the war, located in the garment district of Los Angeles. They specialized in a wide selection of antiques and decorative arts accessories, but are best known for their lamps. The lamps used decorative objects sourced from all over the world as the bases of their highly collectible lamps.
They feature high-quality electric fittings and wood bases. Each lamps feature two light sockets with pull cords and inline switches on the cords, making them very functional. All are original components. These are solid and heavy lamps with felted bases and beautiful silk lampshades
They are in good vintage working condition. Note that one of the original pull cords is fixed, but this does not alter the functionality given the inline switch on the base. For 50% dimming, the paired socket can be turned off with its pull cord.
Both lampshades are in very good vintage condition. Note that there are slight water marks on one panel of one shade. Please review photographs and let us know if you have any questions.
