A studio pottery sculpture by the American artist Jeri Au (born 1953). This organic work is wrapped in bamboo and topped with a paper bow and features a brown and tan glaze accented with blue rectangular designs. The underside of the sculpture is signed.
Born in Hawaii, Au studied at the University of Hawaii, St. Louis University, and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. She has exhibited throughout the United States, China, and Hong Kong. Au was head of the ceramics department at the Leigh Gerdine College of Fine Arts at Webster University where she is currently Professor Emerita.
