Antique Empire Bronze & Black Marble Lion Paw Candlesticks - A Pair
Antique bronze & black marble pique-cierge French Empire candlesticks, circa 1830's. These feature Corinthian style columns with ornate acanthus leaf and face designs on the candle platforms. The columns are made of black and white marble and have footed bronze lion paw plinths. There is a signature on the bronze on one edge of one of the candle holders, can't quite make it out. These measure 13" high and 5" wide. Nice condition, has dark patina, no damage, wear commensurate with age.
