An attractive view of the Turkish town of Magnesie with figures in local dress, camels and other animals in the foreground, all flocking to the town, with the city and its clearly identifiable domed mosques beyond. This copperplate view was first published in Olfert Dapper's "Naukeurige Beschryving Van Asie \." and was republished in Leiden by Pieter Van Der Aa in his work, "La Galerie Agreable Du Monde". This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
