Direct from France, a SUPERB antique French carved oak hall bench, with a charming combination of French style and versatile size.

Louis XV design throughout, with carved upper crown above the beveled serpentine back. Two large inset panels each have French carved designs, with similar carvings in both of the large lower front panels. Below the ornate panels, the bench front has carved lattice designs and serpentine edging. Thick oak arms on either side and large ball feet complete the classic silhouette.

Bench top lifts to provide generous interior storage. Quality throughout, solid oak, well built by craftsmen of the period, circa1890.
