loral Rectangle Antique Hand Knotted Pile Wool 1920s Purple Rug, Circa Date: 1920s. This exceptional hand-knotted wool piece captures the essence of early 20th-century design. The field is dominated by a rich, saturated tone, placing it squarely within the desirable range of purple color rugs prized by discerning collectors.

The design employs a sophisticated, open composition, featuring large-scale, stylized botanical elements that frame the central field. These striking designs exemplify the enduring appeal of floral rugs, rendered here with a distinctly modern sensibility that avoids the visual clutter of earlier traditional styles.

Woven from high-quality pile wool, the rug retains a luxurious texture and depth of color characteristic of this period's finest productions. Its substantial dimensions ensure it functions perfectly in a room size format, capable of anchoring a major living space or formal dining area with its unique palette.

As a genuine piece from the 1920s, this textile represents a significant investment in history and craftsmanship. It stands as a superb example within our curated collection of exceptional antique rugs, offering both aesthetic beauty and proven durability for generations to come. See less
