The glass in this set qualifies as what is called antique. This Anchor Hocking set is more like 80 or so years old, but the old way of making glass was not previously as refined as at present. It left a few tiny bubbles in the glass here and there. I find that this bowl (and I assume the other items in the Anchor Hocking set) have those tiny bubbles present in the glass. So the punch bowl itself is not yet antique, but the glass is "antique glass".
Put together, the bowl and stand measure about 13 inches tall. The bowl alone is about 7.5 inches tall and the base alone is about 6 inches tall and 8 inches across it's widest part. A plastic ladle comes with the set.
12 clear glass cups come with the set and I have some other clear glass cups that could be used along with the others if you have a particularly big crowd. There are 12 starburst and 6 bubble handle cups. None of the 30 cups have any cracks, chips or other damage, just like the punchbowl and stand.
This big bowl is very versatile and could be used for salads, a centerpiece or whatever else you dream up. The base alone could be turned over and used lots of other ways as well. See less
