A stunning and impressive vintage 19th century LARGE Exquisite French-style bureau plat writing desk, reminiscent of the Louis XV era, that features stunning craftsmanship! This high quality, elegant rectangular desk boasts rich wood veneer with intricate marquetry, ornate gilt bronze (ormolu) mounts, and gracefully curved cabriole legs. The three ornate drawers have hand cut dovetail joints and come complete with keys that work all locks. Richly decorated with finely detailed foliate ormolu, the sides and back are decorated in the same manner. The top is adorned with a luxurious leather inset, framed with decorative stitching, perfect for a highly sophisticated workspace or study. Also included is a beautiful woven burgundy and gold tapestry coverlet for added protection to the top. This rare find is ideal for antique collectors or those seeking an impressive French piece to their collection. This incredible desk is absolutely stunning and in PRISTINE condition!!
