Antique print china titled 'convivium proregum ante muos cantonis'. Old print depicting the royal banquet just outside the wall of the chinese city of canton with (a) the old viceroy, (b) the young viceroy, (c) the tutang, (d) the two ambassadors, (e) two mandarins, (f) the king's musicians, (g) five royal parasols. This print originates from the latin edition of nieuhof's work titled 'legatio batavica ad magnum tartariæ chamum sungteium (\.)'. Artists and engravers: johan / jan / johannes nieuhof / nieuhoff / neuhof (1618-1672) was a dutch traveler who wrote about his journeys to brazil, china and india.
