The Italian Ceramic Artist Aldo Londi from Montelupo became Art Director of Bitossi in the early 1950s and created his famous Rimini Blu Series in 1955. It has more than 150 different Designs, Vases, Bowls and Animals, all glazed in bright blue and green colours with their characteristic pattern. This lion is one of te much more rare animal sculptures and in very good original condition, at the bottom it is stamped Flavia Montelupo Italy .so really a sought after piece for Ceramic Collectors! This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
