A rare Fauvist painting "Matisse and His Muse" by known listed Russian artist Adolf Shestakov. Oil on board. Signed and dated on the front and back. COA from the USSR Academy of Creative Endeavors and seal of the Ministry of Culture of the USSR on the back. The painting is attached with easy removable tape to a thick board. Carved wood frame, glass for protection, metal hanger. Excellent condition - minor age wear overall.
