Hard porcelain inkwell entirely decorated by hand and finished in pure gold, with a central decoration of floral branches, dating from around 1940-1950, made by the French manufacturer "La Maison De Porcelaine." High artistic quality of the decorations, entirely handmade with a brush tip to create a diamond pattern with a blue background, very similar to the decorations of the famous Meissen porcelain. Beautiful central decoration with floral branches and very rich finishes in pure gold in full Empire style. The inkwell is signed on the side of the base by the manufacturer "La Maison De Porcelaine" with a rose underneath and the French words "Peint à la main," which means "hand-decorated." I am not familiar with this manufacturer, but the style is certainly very similar to that of the famous French manufacturers Sevrès or Limoges.
