Exceptional art glass vase by German glass artist Erwin Eisch (1927–2022), one of the most important representatives of the international studio glass movement. Eisch played a key role in liberating glass from purely utilitarian functions and elevating it to a medium of artistic expression. In 2002, he was honored with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from Urban Glass in New York.
This vase, dated to the early 1980s, captivates with its organic form featuring a flared, undulating rim and a spectacular iridescent surface. Depending on the incidence of light, it shimmers with subtle shades of lilac, pink, and pearl, creating a unique play of colors and reflections. A rare example of glass art that perfectly reflects Eisch’s creative spirit — balancing artistic expression with masterful craftsmanship.
