helle allpass is gaining ground in the ceramics world and the price of her things has really skyrocketed in the last 5-10 years.

furthermore, this glaze is very rare for her, she made 99% of her work in earthy colors, such as beige, brown, raw white, cream, gray, etc.

about helle allpass:

helle allpass (1932-2000) was a danish ceramist who grew up in a family with deep roots in ceramics. Her father was christian schollert from schollert keramik, and her grandfather was christian johansen from korsør. Before entering the world of ceramics, allpass trained as an architect, but later chose to follow the family tradition. In 1964 she established her own workshop north of copenhagen, where she worked until her death in 2000.

she is known for her unique works in stoneware, often characterized by natural shapes and subtle glazes that combine rustic and smooth surfaces. Her work includes both functional objects such as bowls and vases as well as decorative lamps and other works of art.

the lamp here is 22 cm in height (29 cm including the socket) 13 cm in diameter at the base and weighs approximately 1300 grams.
