A large and vibrant painting of two Native Americans embracing under a Navajo blanket celebrates a marriage union and the traditional symbolism woven into Navajo blankets. Titled on the back 'Wedding Poem' and signed J Pauer, 1987.
This postmodern, contemporary painting shares a similar style with that of Navajo artists Irving Todd and Donal Jolley, as well as California artist Ray Roberts, who also created Native American-themed pieces featuring Navajo blankets.

There is some very faint red coloration within the blue field to the left of the woman's head that is difficult to see without up-close inspection, and a thin scratch within the blue skirt about 1" long. There is a line of dark discoloration on the back of the canvas where the wire was in contact with the canvas. All flaws are visible in the photos. less
