A large and vibrant painting of two Native Americans embracing under a Navajo blanket celebrates a marriage union and the traditional symbolism woven into Navajo blankets. Titled on the back 'Wedding Poem' and signed J Pauer, 1987.
This postmodern, contemporary painting shares a similar style with that of Navajo artists Irving Todd and Donal Jolley, as well as California artist Ray Roberts, who also created Native American-themed pieces featuring Navajo blankets.
