A timeless statement piece for lake house interiors or nautical-inspired spaces, this full-bodied blue heron weathervane is a striking example of early 20th-century American craftsmanship. Expertly formed from verdigris patinated copper, it retains a rich, naturally aged verdigris finish that speaks to its heritage and exposure to the elements. The heron is beautifully proportioned, rendered in graceful motion with an outstretched neck and feet.
The surface shows honest wear, including minor dings and soft creases—evidence of its decades perched atop a rooftop, weathering the seasons. While it could be reinstalled outdoors with some light restoration, it now makes an impressive indoor decorative object, perfect for those curating a rustic coastal, Americana, or lakefront aesthetic.
It is currently displayed atop a primitive wooden stand with old, chipped paint that adds warmth and character.
