Cobelle lived and painted in Paris until the late 1920s and established himself within the great tradition of the School of Paris, then moved to the US and became a citizen. His paintings were highly sought after by galleries and private collectors. Some of his favorite things to paint were the race track, Paris street scenes, regattas and casinos which he did so in a vibrant and energetic style. See less
