A fine ku form vase finished in a gorgeous celadon glaze, adapted into a lamp. Pâte sur pâte decoration: applied white porcelain ornament fired and glazed, sets off the delicate natural botanical forms against the darker blue green background. Mid 19th century. Mounted on a handsome and finely carved Chinese hardwood base. Good condition, irregularities, craquelure to the porcelain surface, as made. New pleated off-white silk shade.
