This version is distinguished by its brass front plate bearing the crowned Prussian eagle and the motto Suum Cuique (Latin: "To each his own") — the emblem of the Order of the Black Eagle — along with Für König und Vaterland ("For King and Fatherland"), marking it out as a Guard issue.

Constructed from vulcanised leather with a lacquered black finish, the helmet features brass fittings throughout, including a fixed spike and decorative trim. The state and national cockades are present: black-white for Prussia and red-white-black for the German Empire. The interior retains its original eight-tongue leather liner.

Guard Pickelhauben were reserved for regiments stationed in or near Berlin, symbolising the prestige of the Prussian monarchy. This is a scarce and historically significant piece of militaria, appealing to collectors of elite units and Imperial-era equipment. See less
