This sign is unusual in that it is cast iron and the vast majority of these signs are reposse brass and because of that are usually found in terribly oxidized and damaged condition. This one is virtually pristine and retains a good portion of its original gilt finish. The subject is as pleasing to Americans as the French as we share this incarnation of the lady liberty. See less
