The Greco-Roman themed folding screen features neoclassical architecture and sculpture as decadent as the halls of the Roman Senate. Each of the four panels measures 34″ wide! The screen stands at 8 feet tall. The palatial scene could easily be used as theatrical backdrop. The trompe l’oeil painting places the viewer in front of a row of ornately adorned Corinthian columns, peering through archways into a great hall. Figural sculptures seem to represent important political and mythical figures. The screen surface has a pebbled texture, and is hand painted. The reverse side is painted solid black. Maitland Smith’s label appears on the back side.

The room divider is solid wood and quite heavy/sturdy. Adjust the bend of the panels to make it span as wide or short as you wish.

The decorative facade of the screen is in outstanding condition with no notable wear. The back side (black surface) has some scuffs and scratches. See less
