This is technically tapestry weaves with rich colors and have a hard wearing flat, perfect for the daily life and house with pets. Originally, the kilim was made by the nomads of the south of the country and was served to protect the ground of the mosques, the tents or yurts and the litters of the camels. It is now used as well for the covering of the ground outdoor and indoor, as for wall decoration. Traditional kilims use patterns based on two simple geometric shapes: the triangle and the diamond in multiple colors. Although manufactured without hair, the kilim is very resistant because of the double weft which gives a tight weave. A great advantage with a kilim is that most of them are reversible.
