An imposing 17th Century Dutch Baroque extension table with two integral extending leaves, the top with a simple scalloped apron. The legs consist of massive cup-and-cover or acorn-form turned balusters with acanthus leaf carvings, the legs terminating in square feet joined by four well-worn stretchers just above the floor. The table base and legs are original of the period; the top likely a later replacement. Previously used as a center table, grand entry table, and sideboard server.
