An 83-piece set of 1847 Rogers Bros. / International Silver Adoration flatware, suited for serving 7. The simple yet rich design features formal cluster motifs at the neck and handle with scrollwork outlines. This Art Deco pattern was described as "a regal, solid silver look in silverplate" by Hollywood star Olivia de Havilland in the company's 1941 advertisement.
Set includes:
- (11) Individual Diamond Slot Salad Forks, 6-3/4"
- (7) Grille/Viande Forks, 7-3/4"
- (8) Modern Hollow Grille Knives, 8-1/2", stainless blade
- (12) Round Bowl Soup/Gumbo Spoons, 7"
- (18) Teaspoons, 6-1/8"
- (8) Long Handle Iced Tea Spoons, 7-3/4"
- (7) Flat Handle Butter Spreader, 6-1/4"
- (5) Tablespoons/Serving Spoons, 8-1/2"
- (1) Medium Solid Cold Meat Serving Fork, 9"
- (1) Short Handle Pickle/Olive Fork, 6-1/8"
- (1) Flat Handle Master Butter Knife, 6-3/4"
- (1) Tomato Server, 7-1/2"
- (1) Sugar Spoon, 6"
- (2) Demitasse/Condiment Spoons, 4-1/2"
The set remains in good condition. Overall signs of wear are present, including light tarnishing, fine surface scratches and stains. Several pieces show some silver plating loss along the sides, most notably the butter spreaders, likely from improper storage. One knife and one butter spreader show slight damage. The grille forks display knife marks on the back of tines. Please refer to all photos carefully before making your purchase.
All antique/vintage flatware pieces have been sanitized with white vinegar and gently hand cleaned with all natural dish soap.
