Two arm chairs and 4 side chairs. These were manufactured by the J.L. Metz Furniture Company which started in 1898 in Chicago, then moved in Hammond, Indiana in the 30's. These chairs belonged to my grandmother, who did the needlepoint on them in the 1980's and had them reupholstered with it. Chairs have a beautiful carved back with shell design, and curved, cabriole legs. Solid wood & very sturdy. In excellent, vintage condtion with wear consistent with age such as nicks on the base of the legs. Please see all pictures. See less
