A very old Antique Chinese carved wood sculpture from the Chinese Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Handcrafted wood carving, exhibiting signs of aging and wear consistent with its potential antique status. The presence of chipped paint and gesso suggests it was once polychromed (painted in multiple colors) and possibly gilded. The God of Lucky/Lucky star symbols "Foo" characters are painted on the shoulders and knees with a gold ingot held in his right hand. It is originally found from Shan Xi, China and brought into United States 30 years ago.
