Qing Dynasty Imperial Five-Clawed Dragon Mandarin Square Rank Badge – Late 18th to Mid-19th Century

The 12" x 12" badge is beautifully framed in a 14" x 14" black lacquer wood frame under glass, preserving its vivid colors and intricate details for over 200 years. The design depicts the Imperial Dragon clutching the Flaming Pearl of Wisdom, surrounded by auspicious motifs—red lightning, ruyi clouds, bats (symbolizing good fortune), and cresting waves with lishui stripes.
