A Vintage Maya Themed Carved Mahogany Small Size Trunk, Honduras, Circa 1970's
Most likely Made in Honduras. We ahem handled several other pieces of this carved Mayan styled work so securely attribute to this region.
Probably made in the 1970's
Carved Mayan figures on the lid and front of the chest, and little triangular shaped feet. Made from Mahogany wood entirely.
Size: 17 1/2" wide including the little handles. 8 1/4" deep, 9 3/4" tall.
Condition: as found condition, estate soiling in the crevices of the carving from age and use. Typical use and wear marks associated with age and use. Nice mellow patina. No lock.
