Medium: Stoneware with salt glaze
Hand-thrown stoneware jug with a narrow cylindrical body, applied spout, and single loop handle. Used historically for whiskey or cider storage. Warm brown glaze with natural wear and rustic patina. A genuine piece of early American utilitarian pottery. Originally used in the alcohol trade or to transport vinegar.
