William Seltzer Rice (1873-1963) Award-Winning American Wood Block Artist and Art Educator associated with the Arts & Crafts movement in Northern California. His block prints sold at Gump's in San Francisco for many years. And he had an exhibition of his block prints at the 1939 World's Fair in NY.
Enchanting "Bowl of Roses" Color Woodcut from the 30's signed and titled in pencil. Brightly painted roses in yellows and pinks arranged in a cobalt blue bowl. Sitting next to the bowl is a darling Kookaburra Bird pitcher from McCoy Pottery. Lovely light green background.
Professionally framed in a simple black wood frame, museum glass and matted in cream linen.
