absolutely rare item.

this table lamp, known as 'the skyscraper', is one of rega's most popular designs and a true classic. You could call it an artefact!
the name seems to stem from his childhood, when he would have admired the art deco architecture of new york.

signed and stamped at the base.
it comes with one original brass rim on top of the lampshade.

romeo rega was born in rome in 1904 and was one of the leading designers in italy in the second half of the 1900s.
he collaborated with willy rizzo (1928–2013) and gabriella crespi (1922–2017).

light fittings: 2 x e27 screw fittings; ideally use 40 watt bulbs only.
it has a german plug but can be converted to a us plug or others as the wiring is universal.
the wiring is universal and includes the us and canada, with voltages ranging from 110v to 240v.


only the base levels have been polished here, but i decided that the original patina was lovely too.
the new silky, light beige lampshade has been made to match the original exactly, including the original brass rim. This piece has an attribution mark,
