the table was designed in july 1979 at a meeting between massimo vignelli and casigliani in his new york city studio. The story goes that upon his return to italy the next week, casigliani had the table already made a prototype, and massimo vignelli had approved the the first version and photographs in less than two weeks after the initial draft.

the geometric shapes and a beautiful combination of different materials gives the design an interesting appeal. The balanced design, with a striking combination of materials and shapes. The oxidized copper combines very well with the travertine rectangle and fogged glass top, which allow a vague silhouet of the shapes to come through in an elegant way. A stunning and beautiful piece of modern italian design that would elevate any seating area!
