All three shells are perfect for sauces or even salt, pepper and an Italian seasoning. There are no visible markings. Which you should be aware of since I state this dish is sterling. After 50 years in the business, I’m confident based on the weight and consistency I strongly feel it’s not silver plate but rather sterling. Either way, it makes for a perfect addition to any table setting. See less
