Large transparent blown glass vase from Murano, with white reticulated glass paste applications, creating a decorative web of irregular ridges on the vase. Art Nouveau style, although it is a large 1950s designer vase, signed with an adhesive label reading "Murano Made in Italy," dating from around the mid-20th century, with a mark on the base indicating where the iron rod (pontile) used to insert and remove the vase from the kiln during the various stages of its production was attached.

Useful information for evaluating the item:
The vase is not signed by the artist, but in our opinion we can attribute its authorship to Carlo Nason. To validate our attribution, in the last photo we have included a smaller vase, but one that is very similar in artistic quality and workmanship to ours, attributed to the same artist by auction houses, Carlo Nason. Furthermore, to give an idea of the value of this artist's glassware, our research shows that the four highest auction results achieved by Carlo Nason in the "objects" category range from €2,992 to €8,645, while in the "lamps" category, the four highest results range from €7,078 to €13,930. all prices to which auction fees of 25-30% must be added. Finally, it should be noted that this artist very often did not sign his works.

Final considerations on the object:
The white glass paste workmanship is particularly valuable and very complex. The ridges are numerous and create a very dense latticework that completely covers the vase, despite its large size. Note, for example, the thickness of the ridges, each one different from the other, highlighting the craftsmanship. The dimensions are impressive and the patina is excellent, especially under the base. See less
