the handwritten initials "h.b" grande maison hb (hubaudière-bousquet) of quimper, a manufacturer of breton faïence that, in addition to its "breton" decoration, produced thematic series in the late 19th/early 20th century and supplied retailers throughout france (such as this one in dijon).
