There is a masterful level of detail at every level of the chandelier. Each independent casting including the candle cups, arms, acorn finials, 'star' up arms, and the central and upper crowns, are exquisitely done.


The age and depth of the gilding coupled with the original crystal allow this chandelier to embody the opulence of French neoclassical design. The frame has been lightly cleaned so as not to disturb the finish. The crystal has been given an ammonia bath to restore its luster, and all of the European wiring and sockets have been replacing with new E12 porcelain candelabra sockets and U.S. wiring. Chain (up to 6 feet included), escutcheon plate, and mounting hardware is included for installation on standard U.S. junction box. See less
