fabulous, large, heavy bowl-shaped vase with two handles, made of polychrome glazed ceramic, produced by the famous faenza manufacturer ccm faenza, also known as faventia artis, in the early decades of the 1900s. Signed in blue underglaze on the base. Decorated with classic faenza motifs, a phoenix on the back, and a renaissance portrait on the front.

ccm faventia was founded by brothers francesco and goffredo castellini and francesco masini (hence the acronym ccm: castellini castellini masini) in the early 1900s and boasts the collaboration of great italian ceramists, including giuseppe melandri, riccardo gatti, francesco nonni, achille wildi, and many others. In our opinion, the authorship of this vase can definitely be attributed to riccardo gatti in terms of style and type of decoration. We have also added some historical notes on the manufacturer with the marks used, for those who wish to learn more.
