The beautiful vessel has a glaze in a black tone with an impressive spiral-shaped decor in hues of purple and grey.

siegfried gramann became head of the pottery making of the manufactory in 1958. The company is family-owned since 1720.
it was nationalized as 'veb töpferhof römhild' under the gdr regime but was returned to the family in the 1990s. During gdr times the company became the biggest hand pottery in europe.

the company's ceramics studio was the heart from which new innovations in form and color constantly emerged. Artistic highlights were the international ceramics symposia initiated by siegfried gramann. This piece has an attribution mark,
