This vintage Egyptian Sultanabad rug, measuring 4'8" x 14'8", is handwoven from wool on a cotton foundation in the Nile Delta region of Northern Egypt. Crafted in Fustat, the ancient capital of Egypt near modern Cairo, these rugs are produced using time-honored techniques that have remained largely unchanged for centuries.
