Original, one of a kind oil on paper artwork “By the Canal”. Framed in a simple blue wood frame that compliments the bright colors in the painting. Signed by French artist Charles Cobelle in the lower right.
Charles Cobelle (1902-1994) was a French Impressionist artist known for his vibrant cityscapes, particularly those of Paris. He studied at the L'Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris and also privately with Marc Chagall.
His work often features iconic Parisian landmarks rendering a distinctive, colorful style.
