This is rather large for a fashion illustration and thus makes it a showcase item. Done in watercolor and signed by the illustrator, it makes a statement. It features a glamorous mid-century "femme fatale", coiffed and dressed in an evening gown. She steps down in the latest of 1950's style! Note the details in the dress: the lacelike fabric, the sash in the bodice, the scalloped bustline, the off-the shoulder rushed detail and, of course, the long side trail. Her hairstyle seems to match the dress as well. Her makeup and earrings are the finishing touches. It is iconic of the period. It could be a focal piece in your home decor. It is in excellent condition consistent with its age and history. (Please disregard reflection from the protective covering of the drawing. )The drawing comes matted in a 22 x 28 inch custom mat.
