Antique Japanese Satsuma Ginger Jar Signed With 2 Lids
What a delightful find.
An antique Satsuma ginger jar with the inner seal lid and outer lid.
All hand painted with moriage and gold gilt decoration.
Patchwork type detail on the lid.
2 sided with a Master teaching a student on one side.
The reverse looks like 2 children learn to fight.
Colors of orange, blue, gold, black and white.
This one is special because it is signed on the pot around the top opening in rust color paint.
The same markings are along the edge of the interior lid and on the inside of the outer lid.

This Ginger stands 6.5" tall with lids and 5" wide.
