Beautiful manual bookbinding press, made in France between the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
It was used in artisanal publishing, particularly for the restoration and binding of antique books, pressing the pages to promote glue adhesion or to flatten the volume during the binding process.
Made of cast iron and painted black, it features delicate white decorations on the corners.
The press is in excellent condition, with its age, carefully cleaned, and fully functional.
