This Set of 8 Vintage Italian Faux Tortoiseshell “A Mecca” Side Chairs is a delightful and timeless set of mid-20th-century seating with a statement-making finish, featuring a variety of details that evoke the subtle Rococo style.
Hand-carved frames that feature an open ballon-back design and faux tortoiseshell finish
Chair backs are centered by an oval medallion and crowned with sculpted shell motif
Chairs rest on cabriole front legs with scroll toes and curved stretchers
Chair aprons are accented with shell cartouches and scrolling flourishes
Seats are upholstered in orginial cream ground fabric with lavender and blue tones
Very good vintage condition with limited signs of age appropriate imperfections and wear
